Accommodation by Wolsey Lodge

The views from this beautiful Georgian Cotswold stone house are only revealed on arrival, across the lovely garden towards the lake and the far side of the glorious Sudeley valley. In this tranquil setting, the Wilsons delight in sharing their very English home.

The traditionally furnished drawing room and dining room are for guests' exclusive use. In winter, the drawing room has a roaring log fire, whilst in summer, these rooms open out onto the terrace and lovingly tended garden which comes to life in vibrant colour.

Three warm, comfortable bedrooms, each with en suite bath and thermostatic shower are furnished in distinctive period style. Hot water capacity is ample, having been specified with guests in mind! All beds are king size, whilst the Blue and Green rooms can be set up with two single 3 foot beds.

This is Jim's family home and he manages much of the estate and woodland. Jim and Susie are widely travelled and lead a busy life with their teenage children, and animals. Susie trained at Prue Leith's School of Food and Wine in London, where Jim still works 4 days a week. Although Susie hardly ever provides evening meals now, there is an extensive choice of eating places very close by. Gloucestershire's best restaurant (voted 2005) as well as Gloucestershire's best pub (voted 2004) are both within one mile, with an even greater selection within three to four miles.
